Liberty Quest is a Christian-based organization whose mission is to provide scholarships to children who have or have had a parent incarcerated. In addition, Liberty Quest promotes and lobbies for improvement in prison conditions, prison programs, and other opportunities for prisoners to enhance their minds, bodies and souls so as to provide more humane treatment of those incarcerated and to reduce prisoner recidivism.
Hello, I'm PJ McMann, the Director of Liberty Quest Foundation. In my life to date, I have been many things: a lover and one who has been loved; a solider and a civilian; a boyfriend and a husband; a son and a father; a student and a teacher; an athlete and a coach; a friend and an enemy; a tough guy and a not-so-tough guy; a writer and a reader; a confidant and a gossip; a rich man and a poor man; a sinner and a saint; a believer and a non-believer; and a law abiding citizen and a convict who served almost three years in federal prison. Prior to my incarceration, I had not spent 10 minutes thinking about the criminal justice system here in the United States. Out of sight; out of mind. However, after having seen what it is first hand, I was disappointed with what we had become and how we treated those charged with crime. With a little effort, we could better. I'm here to initiate that effort and make things better. And if you are so inspired, I would be pleased to have you assist along side. Join me. God bless and peace to you.
